'Fantastic!! The accommodation was perfect for our needs and the location was a breath of fresh air for us (we had a long drive from Melbourne). The beds were soooo comfortable, we all slept like logs, great selection of books to browse. 'Redbrow Garden is an ideal place to stay and explore the ACT. Only a short drive from the city, about 20 minutes, it is a haven of peace and quiet after negotiating Canberra's peculiar traffic system.. The only sounds we heard were the distant lowing of cattle and the chatter of the birds. Comfortable beds, lots of space,, a beautiful setting, friendly hosts and all at a fraction of the cost of a hotel. Sipping a glass of wine by the lake and watching the ducks was a delight' 2009

OUR GROUP ACCOMMODATION options consist of:

Our four (4) lakeside en suite rooms and/or the 3 bedroom Garden Guesthouse.

They have proven to be a popular choice for families and other special groups who are looking for quiet,spacious, self contained facilities in a rural setting with easy access to Canberra, local wineries,restaurants and surrounding villages.

All four lakeside en suite bedrooms overlook the lake and garden, each having their own sunroom with table and chairs, a bar fridge with complimentary drinks, tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock radios,reading lamps, electric blankets,sheets,blankets and doonas.

ROOM CONFIGURATIONS
The Lakeside en suite rooms consist of:
Room 1 Kookaburra Room- 1 Queen bed.Additional child's single if needed
Room 2 Honeyeater Room- 1 Queen bed.Additional child's single if needed
Room 3 Spinebill Room- 1 King bed. Additional child's single if needed
Room 4 Blue Wren Room- 1 Queen bed and 1 child's single bed and an additional bedroom with 2 adult single beds.(This room has Disabled Facilities)

The 3 bedroom self contained self contained Guesthouse is privately attached to the main homestead and has:
2 bedrooms each with 2 single beds
A Master bedroom with a king bed, space for additional beds if needed in adjoining room
Large lounge area with enclosed fireplace
New fully equipped kitchen
Bathroom (2 additional toilets available nearby)
Parking at the rear entrance of the guesthouse.
Linen,pillows,towels, blankets, doonas, toiletries provided. Discounts apply if you wish to provide your own.

COUPLES ARE WELCOME TO STAY IN THE LARGE SELF CONTAINED GUESTHOUSE (1 NIGHT $245, 2 nights $395, 3 NIGHTS $545- Additional people over 2 years is $50 per person per night. Self contained Guesthouse rate does not include breakfast provisions- Continental Breakfast provisions $10 per person extra per day if requested) Discounted group rates by quotation.

All guests have access to Redbrow Garden facilities including the extensive garden,undercover BBQ area, row boats on the lake, country clay tennis court and bushwalking.

Group Tariffs

If you have a group of more than 6 people wishing to stay, our aim is to be as flexible as possible to allow as many different types of group guest needs to be met.

Rates are by quotation and depend on numbers of adults, children and length of stay.A $250 non refundable deposit is required to confirm group bookings utilising all rooms

Minimum 2 night stay for groups during long weekends, some public holidays, weekends during some school holidays and during some special events.

Note: No charge for children under 2 years ie before 2nd birthday.

Breakfast provisions not included in self contained group rate.

CANCELLATION FEES APPLY. Group deposits are non refundable, however may be used for future booking. Cancellations 14 days and less, 20% of total booking cost, 7 days and less, 50% of total booking cost, 24 hours and less, 100% of total booking cost. All fees may be used for future bookings within 6 months.

Where to eat

Our Group Accommodation option allows groups to be self contained and quotes provided do not include any meals.Group bookings required at local restaurants.

GREAT UNDERCOVER BBQ AREA AVAILABLE BY THE LAKE.CLICK ON PHOTO TOP RIGHT

Its a good idea to get any provisions you may need before arrival as we are approximately 20 minutes drive from Canberra. Murrumbateman has a good range of groceries etc at the Service Station.(IGA Supermarket now open) We have seasonal fresh vegetables, a range of local preserves and lavender and olive products and free range eggs.
There are many fine wineries closeby from which we have a limited stock.

There are a number of restaurants, cafes, bistros and pubs within 15 minutes of Redbrow Garden at Murrumbateman, Gundaroo and Gold Creek Village. Please ask us for further information as required.

Parking- Free

Guests are able to park adjacent to the rooms.

One lakeside en suite room 4 (Blue Wren Room) is fully accessible with adjacent parking.

Pets- Costs apply

Dogs are normally not permitted in or near the rooms in consideration of other guests. We are unable to accept cats. We have stable yards and paddocks for horses.

Heating/Air Conditioning

All rooms are fully heated/ air conditioned. The Garden Guesthouse has an enclosed fireplace.
