'A great meeting place for old friends from Sydney, Central Coast, Wangaratta, and Adelaide. A beautiful place to stay, lovely gardens, relaxing and a great place to have a guest lounge to ourselves.'

Our 5 bedroom group accommodation option, using our 4 lakeside en suite rooms and an additional room with 2 single beds, has proven to be a popular choice for families and other special groups who are looking for quiet,spacious, self contained facilities in a rural setting with easy access to Canberra, local wineries,restaurants and surrounding villages.

All four lakeside en suite bedrooms overlook the lake and garden, each having their own sunroom with table and chairs, a bar fridge with complimentary drinks, tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock radios,reading lamps, electric blankets,sheets,blankets and doonas.

The adjacent guest lounge has a well equipped kitchenette, dining tables with chairs, library and pool table.A BBQ is located outside the guest lounge and an outside garden dining area has been provided including a raised decking area overlooking the lake.

A 'Takeabreak' guest recently commented: Redbrow Garden is an ideal place to stay and explore the ACT. Only a short drive from the city about 20 minutes, it is a haven of peace and quiet after negotiating Canberra's peculiar traffic system. The only sounds we heard was the distant lowing of cattle and the chatter of the birds. Comfortable beds, lots of space, a beautiful setting, friendly hosts and all at a fraction of the cost of a hotel. Sipping a glass of wine by the lakeside and watching the ducks was a delight. Room configurations are

Room 1 Kookaburra Room- 1 Queen bed
Room 2 Honeyeater Room- 1 King bed converts to 2 singles if preferred
Room 3 Spinebill Room- 1 King bed
Room 4 Blue Wren Room- 1 Queen bed and 1 Single bed

Room 5 Redbrow Room- 2 single beds. This is an extra room suitable for families and groups. No ensuite, outside toilets.We do not let this room on its own. It is used in conjunction with one or more of the nearby en suite rooms.

Additional fold up beds and cots are possible in the en suite rooms

All guests have access to Redbrow Garden facilities including the extensive garden, row boats on the lake, country clay tennis court and bushwalking track.

Our aim has been to be as flexible as possible to allow as many different types of group guest needs to be met.

Rates are by quotation and depend on numbers of adults, children and length of stay.A $250 non refundable deposit is required to confirm group bookings utilising all rooms

Where to eat

Our 5 bedroom Group Accommodation option allows groups to be self contained and quotes provided do not include any meals. Breakfast, however, is available in the dining room at an additional cost if preferred.

GREAT UNDERCOVER BBQ AREA AVAILABLE BY THE LAKE.

Its a good idea to get any provisions you may need before arrival as we are approximately 20 minutes drive from Canberra. Murrumbateman has a good range of groceries etc at the Service Station. We have seasonal fresh vegetables, a range of local preserves and lavender and olive products and free range eggs.
There are many fine wineries closeby from which we have a limited stock.

There are a number of restaurants, cafes, bistros and pubs within 15 minutes of Redbrow Garden at Murrumbateman, Gundaroo and Gold Creek Village. Please ask us for further information as required.

Parking

Guests are able to park adjacent to the rooms.

One room is fully accessible.

Pets

There may be times when we are unable to accommodate dogs and cats.Pets are not permitted in or near the rooms in consideration of other guests. Please check with us at time of enquiry into availability and costs. We also have stable yards and paddocks for horses and alpacas.
